In a fantastic coup for our club, CPFC is pleased to make the following club announcement. We would like to congratulate our club secretary Con Sotiralis for his initiative in entering the club in The Hyundai A League Grassroots Competition. Not only did we enter, we won it!  The 2014  A League Major prize, the Hyundai i30 Car! Great work Con! It shall be presented next Monday April 28th at 4pm. To The Hyundai Motor Company & Goals for Grassroots FFA Initiative Team,

Carss Park Football Club ( CPFC) is extremely proud & pleased to announce that through the joint initiative of The Hyundai Goals for Grassroots Community Program & FFA, we have won The 2014 Major Prize for clubs- the fantastic Hyundai i 30 car !!

We wish to thank & acknowledge The Hyundai Motor Company for their generous & ongoing support towards grassroots & community football. Their commitment towards “Moving the World Together” shows in their strong support in developing social responsibility in young players through the love of football at junior club level.

This wonderful prize will allow CPFC to raise much needed funds going towards capital facility works at Charles Pirie such as improved disabled facilities, field lighting, goals & a shaded BBQ area. Carss Park is a foundation SGFA club with an 84 year history, right in the heart of southern Sydney, Johnny Warren territory. We currently have a community of over 400 players, fielding 36 teams 6- AA, boys & girls & a proud football history of both grassroots participation & elite achievement.

In addition, we are a community minded club with a strong social awareness ethos. As such, we would also like to set aside money to financially allow young players in need to attend Holiday Football Clinics & other opportunities that may arise within the SGFA. These funds will also allow us to continue our ongoing commitment to the charity Beyond Blue, an organisation close to the CPFC club community.

Our club committee & community look forward to receiving the Hyundai i30 next Monday between 4-5pm at our home ground Charles Pirie & having our players proudly accept this wonderful prize in club colours. We look forward to displaying our training techniques, our club Academy & the attendance of a Sydney FC player & Hyundai representative. Players from teams 6-13 years will be on display.

This prize opens up new opportunities for our community club & we are extremely grateful for the possibilities it presents.

Thankyou to Hyundai & FFA.
